Privacy Policy (Australia)

Last updated: July 2026 · Version 2026-07-au

Not legal advice. This policy is written for Australian business customers. If you need advice on your obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 or state laws, consult a qualified adviser.

MySafeOps ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting personal information handled through our construction safety platform. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information in connection with Australian customers, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) where they apply to us.

1. Who we are

MySafeOps is operated from the United Kingdom by an individual sole trader trading as MySafeOps. For account holders and website visitors in Australia, we are generally the APP entity / data controller for account and billing data.

Your organisation is usually responsible for worker, site, and project information you enter into the product. We act as a service provider / processor for that operational data when you use cloud features — see our Data processing overview.

Contact: privacy@mysafeops.com

2. What we collect

Account data

Name, email, phone, company name, role, and billing identifiers when you subscribe.

Worker and site data

Information your organisation chooses to store: worker details, White Card / competency records, RAMS/SWMS, permits, incidents, photos, GPS metadata, and project documents.

Technical data

IP address, browser type, device information, and essential session data. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. Why we collect it

4. Overseas disclosure

Data may be processed in the United Kingdom, European Union, and United States through vetted subprocessors (hosting, authentication, payments). We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with the APPs, including contractual safeguards described in our DPA.

5. Security and retention

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), role-based access, and provider security controls. We retain data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for backup, billing, and legal purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on circumstances, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you as an account holder. Contact privacy@mysafeops.com. If unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

7. Notifiable data breaches

Where we become aware of an eligible data breach affecting personal information we hold, we will assess and notify affected individuals and the OAIC where required under the Privacy Act.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, in-product notice.
